NORTHAMPTON, PA - June 2013, - The former president of the Bethlehem Steelers Athletic Association faces trial on a theft charge alleging he stole $34,000 from the nonprofit organization.

 

CLACKAMAS, OR – April 2013 - A Clackamas County Grand Jury has indicted Susan M. Farness, 42. She was arrested April 4 and booked into the Clackamas County Jail on 42 counts of first and second degree theft and identity theft. The charges stem from an accusation of embezzling about $23,000 from the Sandy Youth Football League, said Sandy Police Detective Jason Bickle.

 

GWINNETT, GA – March 2013- A former executive board member is believed to have taken tens of thousands of dollars from the Dacula-based Mountain View Athletic Association (MVAA) for personal use.

 

MEDIA, PA – May 2013 - 40-year-old Theresa Becker was treasurer of the Ridley Area Little League form October 2010 until September 2012, when officials discovered more than $26,000 missing from the group's checking account.

 

ROCKLAND, NY - May 2012 - A 58-year-old former New City Little League treasurer pleaded guilty Wednesday to stealing at least $120,000 from the nonprofit baseball organization.

 

ROCKLAND, NY – March 2010 - Karen Ramos enters the Rockland County Courthouse in New City was expected to accept a plea deal for embezzling $150,000 from the Stoney Point Little League.

 

CORONA, CA – November 2010 - Cedric Earl Allen, 53, of Corona, California, was charged with embezzling about $100,000 from the Corona Youth Sports Foundation where he had served as treasurer.

 

KINGSTON, PA - October 16, 2012 - — A man in Luzerne County surrendered to police after being accused of stealing money from a youth basketball league. Christopher Walsh of Dallas was one of three co-founders of the Luzerne County Lightning, a traveling youth basketball league based out of Kingston.

 

ANN ARBOR, MI – July 28, 2010 - Washtenaw County Circuit Judge Melinda Morris has sentenced the former treasurer and bookkeeper of the Ann Arbor Amateur Hockey Association to serve two to 15 years in prison for embezzling $934,000 from the nonprofit.

 

BUCKS COUNTY, PA – Sept 2009 - Police say an extensive investigation led to the arrest of Jacqueline O’Hara on theft and related charges. Detective John Bonargo says the 44-year-old Warminster woman is accused of stealing nearly $18,000 from the Warminster Pioneers:

 

AMBLER, PA. - July 19, 2013 (WPVI) -- A Montgomery County man has been charged with stealing about $40,000 from two youth leagues. Michael Hrouda was arraigned on Friday morning in Ambler. He is accused of taking funds from the Ardsley North Hills Athletic Association and Abington Bulldogs Wrestling Club.

 

CENTENNIAL, CO. - The former bookkeeper of the Arapahoe Youth Sports League will appear in court on theft charges. Pamela Schlehuber has been accused of embezzling as much as $200,000. According to court documents Schlehuber said she used the money to pay bills for the organization.
